ICF Framing - Days 3 & 4

Last Thursday, we started framing using ICF. Day 1 of framing, three courses were laid. On Day 2, we had the window and door frames installed, minus two doors and one window. On Saturday, Stanley came out and I couldn't figure out what he was doing. When he left, I saw that he had made a fracture line in the garage.

On Monday, the framing crew was back out and made some progress.

Mainly, they installed the last two door frames

... and the last window frame.

Scaffolding was also put up to enable them to reach higher.

The walls were getting taller!

On Tuesday, the walls were almost completely up.

From a distance, it looked complete. But the window height is suppose to be 8 feet and I knew the windows weren't that close to the ceiling.

In the corner they always start in, I saw that there is a small row left to do. They started it.

On Tuesday, they also put the vertical rebar in the walls.

I've been told that the concrete pump is reserved for Thursday. So tomorrow, they will finish that last small row up top.

Woohoo! We have been so fortunate that progress has been steady. Our ICF contractor is splitting his time between us and another site. Four days of framing with a crew of 2-3, we are making good progress. This time has flown by so fast already!

ICF Framing Days 1& 2
